Mayor Michael Helfrich issued the following statement:
“New parking rates and hours will go into effect at York City’s three City-owned parking garages (W King St, E Market St, and W Philadelphia St) at 8 am, Monday, January 6, 2025. The rates for parking 8 am to 5 pm remain unchanged, however the time of charging hourly has been reduced to 8 am to 5 pm. The charge of $2 per evening and night-time usage from 5 pm to 8 am will begin at 5 pm, January 6, 2025. Please note, there is no charge for parking on holidays, including York City’s New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31st into January 1st.”
