On Friday May 26, 2023, the City of York Department of Fire/Rescue Services will be promoting four members and will recognize four other members who retired. We will also be recognizing two civilians and one fire police officer for actions taken at incidents. The officers will be sworn in by Mayor Michael Helfrich at 3:00 pm at City Hall (101 S George St. York, PA 17401) in Council Chambers.
- Firefighter Malachi Cochran will be promoted to Lieutenant.
- Firefighter Michael Zaler will be promoted to Lieutenant.
- Firefighter Lawrence Pacl will be promoted to Lieutenant.
- Firefighter Zachary Calvert will be promoted to Lieutenant.
We will also be recognizing the retirements of Lt. Randy Rauhauser, FF Charles Sleeger, FF Bernard Baxter, FF Wade Fleming.
Certificates will be presented to Mr. Rahinne Ambrose, Mr. William “Chino” Rivera, and fire police officer Aaron Morthland.
