The following events will take place this weekend and affect traffic in the City of York:
Friday, June 2
- First Friday on Beaver Street will close Beaver Street between West Market Street and West Philadelphia Street from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
- First Friday June on Duke Street will close Duke Street between Market Street and Philadelphia Street from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
- 2023 National Street Rods Parade will close Market Street between Gate 4 of the Fairgrounds in West York Borough to Broad Street in York City starting at 11:50 am. The parade steps off at Noon and is expected to be finished by 1:00 pm. The route begins on Market Street at Gate 4 of the Fairgrounds, proceeds east on Market Street to Broad Street, north on Broad Street to Philadelphia Street, west on Philadelphia Street to Carlisle Avenue, north on Carlisle Avenue to Gate 9, where it will reenter the Fairgrounds at Carlisle Avenue and Maryland Avenue. Delays are expected during the parade.
Saturday, June 3
- George Street Dining will close North George Street between Philadelphia Street and North Street from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
- Salem Square Community Block Party will close South West Street between West Poplar Street and West Princess Street from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
- It’s Giving Pride will close North Park Lane between West Philadelphia Street and West Clarke Avenue from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
- East Philadelphia Street between Duke Street and George Street will be closed from 6:00 am to 11:00 am for road work.
Sunday, June 4
- Martin Library Street Fair will close Queen Street between East Market Street and East Philadelphia Street from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
