The following event will take place this weekend and affect traffic in the City of York:
Thursday, October 27
- Trunk or Treat will close Newton Ave between George St and Court St from 4:00pm to 9:30pm.
Friday, October 28
- George Street Dining will close George St between Philadelphia St and North St from 5:30pm to 11:00pm.
Saturday, October 29
- Halloween in the Park at Reid Menzer Skateboard Park from 10:00am to 10:00pm.
- Dia de los Muertos CASA in Action at Renaissance Park from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
- George Street Dining will close George St between Philadelphia St and North St from 1:00pm to 11:00pm.
Motorists should exercise caution in these areas due to increased pedestrian traffic in these areas.
Sunday, October 30
- York Halloween Parade will step-off from Gate 2 of the Fairgrounds at Richland Ave and Madison Ave at 2:00pm. The parade will go south on Richland Ave to Market St, then east on Market St to Fulton St.
- The parade is expected to finish around 5:00pm.
- The parade route and surrounding cross-streets will be closed beginning at 12:00pm.
- Parking restrictions along the parade route will begin at 7:00am.
- Vehicles parked on the parade route will be towed. Attendees must remain on sidewalks. Attendees are not permitted to sit in the middle of an intersection or cross street.
- Vehicular traffic is encouraged to use Highland Ave west of the parade route, and Sherman St east of the parade route to get around.
Motorists should exercise caution in these areas due to increased pedestrian traffic in these areas.
