ROAD REPAIRS TO SOUTH QUEEN STREET
(July 16, 2021) York, PA – In a joint effort between the City of York and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, South Queen Street will undergo road repairs, starting on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, for approximately two weeks.
Due to the heavy volume of traffic, this major thoroughfare is in dire need of base repairs to improve the road surface. With assistance from the City of York Highway Bureau, work will cover the section of South Queen Street, from East Market Street to East Cottage Place, and entails PennDOT performing milling of the road, followed by patching to improve the road surface.
No parking signs will be posted for blocks that are to be affected 24 hours before work is scheduled to commence. No parking will be in effect in the selected areas Monday through Friday, between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Please be advised that vehicles that are not moved may be subject to towing.

REPARACIONES VIALES A SOUTH QUEEN STREET
(16 de julio de 2021) York, PA – En un esfuerzo conjunto entre la Ciudad de York y el Departamento de Transporte de Pensilvania, South Queen Street se someterá a reparaciones viales, a partir del martes 20 de julio de 2021, durante aproximadamente dos semanas.
Debido al gran volumen de tráfico, esta importante vía necesita urgentemente reparaciones en la base para mejorar la superficie de la carretera. Con la ayuda de la Oficina de Carreteras de la Ciudad de York, el trabajo cubrirá la sección de South Queen Street, desde East Market Street hasta East Cottage Place, y requiere que PennDOT realice el fresado de la carretera, seguido de parches para mejorar la superficie de la carretera.
Letreros de no estacionamiento se colocarán para los bloques que se verán afectados 24 horas antes de la fecha programada para comenzar el trabajo. No habrá estacionamiento en las áreas seleccionadas de lunes a viernes, entre las 6:00 a.m. y las 5:00 p.m. Tenga en cuenta que los vehículos que no se mueven pueden ser remolcados.
