The Department of Public Works of the City of York announces that crews will be paving George Street next Tuesday, July 19th, from Springettsbury Avenue to Boundary Avenue. During this time, there will be no parking available on the east or west sides of the street. This is because the contractor will pave the parking lanes first while allowing traffic to flow through our regular travel lanes.
When this work is completed, traffic will flow using the already paved parking lanes while the contractor paves the two travel lanes. This project is scheduled to last three weeks but can last up to four weeks if required.
