PHILADELPHIA STREET CLOSURE, JULY 12th-14th
(3 July 2024) York, PA — Due to construction at the Appell Center, West Philadelphia Street from North George Street to North Beaver Street is scheduled to be closed the weekend of Friday, July 12 to Sunday, July 14, 2024.
The closure will begin at 5 am on Friday and is expected to end by 8 pm on Sunday. No parking will be in effect on the construction area of West Philadelphia Street a day prior to the start of construction.
Access to the Philadelphia Street garage will be cut off during the construction. Vehicles will not be able to enter the garage, but vehicles will be able to exit on to Gas Avenue. People with monthly access to the Philadelphia Street garage will also be able to park at the City parking garages located at the corner of West King Street and South George Street, as well as on the first block of East Market Street.
Alternate parking will remain available on Saturday and Sunday at the City parking lots located at the corner of West Philadelphia Street and Pershing Avenue as well as the 200 block of West Market Street. Any parked vehicles on these lots without a permit will have to be moved prior to 7 am Monday morning.
Westbound traffic on Philadelphia Street will have the option of turning left or right at George Street. Truck traffic should avoid the area and use Princess Street as an alternate route.
Cherry Lane between Clarke Avenue and Philadelphia Street will also be closed.

(3 de julio de 2024) York, PA — Debido a la construcción en el Appell Center, está previsto que West Philadelphia Street desde North George Street hasta North Beaver Street esté cerrado el fin de semana del viernes 12 de julio al domingo 14 de julio de 2024.
El cierre comenzará a las 5 am del viernes y se espera que finalice a las 8 pm del domingo. No habrá estacionamiento vigente en el área de construcción de West Philadelphia Street un día antes del inicio de la construcción.
El acceso al garaje de Philadelphia Street quedará cortado durante la construcción. Los vehículos no podrán entrar al garaje, pero sí podrán salir por Gas Avenue. Las personas con acceso mensual al estacionamiento de Philadelphia Street también podrán estacionar en los estacionamientos de la ciudad ubicados en la esquina de West King Street y South George Street, así como en la primera cuadra de East Market Street.
