A new all-way stop will go into effect at the intersection of West Maple and Manor Streets. Currently, there are only stop signs for West Maple traffic.
The all-way stop is intended to make the neighborhood safer for both pedestrians and motorists. The stop will encourage traffic to slow down. In addition, the crossing has a blind spot which has accounted for numerous accidents. Finally, the all-way stop will better protect William Penn High School and McKinley Elementary School students who walk in the neighborhood.
