The following work will take place Sunday 11/24/19 from approximately 7:30AM to 4:00PM:
- 32 N George St: Met-Ed will replace the underground transformer, requiring the closure of 2 lanes of traffic on the west side of North George St. Met-Ed will provide all proper traffic control and flagging.
- SE corner of S George St and E King St: Met-Ed will be using a crane to replace the underground transformer. To properly position the crane and equipment, Met-Ed will need to shut down one lane of the northbound traffic for the duration of the work, which is expected to be completed by the end of the business day. Met-Ed workers will post approved City of York “No Parking” signs along the northbound side of S George St and will provide proper traffic control throughout the construction.
Although this work is necessary in order to provide safe and reliable electrical service to the City of York, we recognize that the lane closures disrupt everyday life.
