On Friday December 29, 2017, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Voni Grimes Gym, 125 E. College Avenue, York, PA, Mayor C. Kim Bracey will host Community Family Game Night, which will feature the opportunity for youth and families to engage in the play of various Board Games, as well as Chess, to encourage quality family time, while fostering key life skills and educational components. Youth and families are encouraged to bring along their own board games to play. The event will feature the opportunity to enjoy a free meal, as well as a free board game to take home. The event is free and open to the community
“The invaluable life lessons that various board games exhibit, as well as providing the opportunity for families and youth to engage in meaningful play, while having fun, is priceless,” states Mayor Bracey.
City of York continues to accept donations of NEW Board games and Chess Games to provide the opportunity for youth and families to take them home after the event. Donations can be taken to York City Hall, 101 S. George Street, York, PA.
