The City of York Bureau of Health has partnered with the York Opioid Collaborative and numerous community organizations to distribute Deterra Drug Deactivation pouches to York Country residents. This initiative provides an additional way to properly dispose of medications, reaching individuals who are unable to utilize a take-back box locations and unable to drop off medications during the bi-annual Drug Take Back Day.
FREE Deterra drug deactivation pouches will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis the following dates/times in January 2023 and February 2023:
- On the 4th Tuesday (January 24 and February 28) between 10AM-2PM, we will be distributing Deterra drug pouches during our monthly Narcan distribution event at York City Hall (101 South George Street, York, PA 17401)
- Every Monday starting January 9, 2023 between 2:30PM-4:30PM at the City of York Health Bureau Clinic (435 W Philadelphia Street, York, PA 17401)
- Monday, January 9, 16, 23, 30
- Monday, February 6, 13, 20, 27
