SIDS Awareness Month

Safe Sleep Campaign

Every year, thousands of families are affected by Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), a devastating and often unexplained loss of life. During SIDS Awareness Month, the City of York is dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and supporting families to reduce the risk of SIDS.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the leading cause of death in infants between one month and one year of age. While the exact cause of SIDS is unknown, there are preventive measures that parents and caregivers can take to protect their infants.

Watch this video featuring Yasmine Cowen as she discusses the Safe Sleep Campaign.
