The mission of the City of York Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD) is to foster opportunities for businesses to grow and for communities to thrive and succeed. DECD works with partners, private industry, and local businesses to enhance and sustain economic prosperity, create and execute development opportunities, revitalize neighborhoods, and provide healthy options for residents within the city.
This department oversees growth and orderly development within the city & enforces all ordinances & codes that govern residential & commercial construction within the city limits.
