NOVEMBER 26, 2015
The City of York and the YMCA will be hosting the annual running of the York City Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning November 26, 2015.  The race will begin at 9:00 AM in the 200 block of W. Market St. travel east on Market, southbound on George St., Westbound on Springettsbury Ave, South on Pershing Ave – Looping through York College Parking lot, North on Newberry, East on Jackson, North on Pershing, around Penn Park, North on Beaver St., West on King St. to the finish in the 200 Blk W. King St.    Expect delays along this route from 8:45am-10:30am.   Market and King Sts at Penn St., will be closed as early as 6:30am as will Newberry from Philadelphia St. to Princess St.
Vehicular traffic should use Philadelphia St. for Westbound travel, Princess St. for Eastbound Travel, and Duke St. for Northbound Travel.    George St. will be closed to vehicle traffic for a short period until runners turn onto Springettsbury Ave. 
There will be no parking on Market Street from Penn Street to Pershing Avenue on the day of the race as well as on King St from Penn to Pershing
           Please watch for runners and pay attention to the officials directing traffic in these areas.
