YORKFEST FINE ARTS FESTIVAL

AUGUST 23RD AND 24TH

STREET CLOSINGS AND TRAFFIC ADVISORIES

 

On Saturday, August 23rd, and Sunday, August 24th , the City of York will once again be hosting the annual YorkFest Fine Arts Festival along the Heritage Rail Trail from Lafayette Plaza to West Princess Street. The hours of the event are 10AM to 5PM on Saturday and 10AM until 4PM on Sunday.
 
West Market Street will be closed to vehicular traffic between Newberry St. and Beaver St. The roadway will close at 9AM and reopen at 6PM on both days. Additionally, N. Pershing Ave., between Phila and Market Sts. will be closed to traffic at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 22nd and reopen again on Sunday at 8:00PM. 
 
Parking will be restricted on W. Market St in the blocks involved beginning at 8AM Saturday and again on Sunday. Those restrictions will be lifted @ 6PM on both days. Parking restrictions on N. Pershing Ave will go into effect at 9:30AM on Friday August 22nd and be lifted on Sunday, August 24th @ 8:00PM.
 
Motorists wishing to travel eastbound should utilize W. King St. or W. Princess St. and should be aware of the increased pedestrian traffic in the 200 block of West King Street. Only service dogs are permitted in the event area, no other dogs are allowed. There will be no exceptions.
