Ticket and Tow will resume on South Queen Street

4/4/2011 07:41 AM Updated on: 8/23/2012 09:04 AM

Mayor Kim Bracey announced that the City of York will resume ticket and tow for Street sweeping on South Queen Street. “The amount of litter accumulating along the curb on South Queen Street is very disappointing. If residents are not willing to pitch in and help pick up this litter the City will take the necessary steps to do so.”

The area affected is on South Queen Street between King Street and Boundary Avenue. The west side of South Queen Street is swept on the first and third Friday of each month and the east side is swept on the second and fourth Friday.

Residents are reminded that cars need to be moved to avoid being ticketed and towed.

The fine for no parking is $50.00 and the charge for the tow will be $140.00. If your vehicle is towed please call the York City Police Department at 849-2241.

This is being done to reduce the amount of litter on this important corridor and to improve the quality of life for the residents.
